RDL Apparel was founded - a garment production company built on factory relationships in China and a reputation for high-quality construction. The knowledge that would eventually become AXIS started here.
A shirt that didn't exist.
The founder, working at an investment banking, noticed a problem he couldn't solve with any existing dress shirt. The combination of Hong Kong's heat, a full day of meetings, and a shirt that required ironing every morning. AXIS started as a question: why doesn't a shirt exist that handles all of this?
Three years. One shirt.
Three years of product development through RDL Apparel's factory network. The BambooFlex™ launched in December - the first shirt built from performance fabric that still looked like a dress shirt.
We didn't set out to reinvent the dress shirt. We set out to make one that worked in the climate you're actually in, without asking you to compromise on how it looks.
